Theatre Organ Music

Featured below is the young and very highly-publicized 'new age' organist, Cameron Carpenter, who will be performing "Revolutionary" on Sunday, April 19th, for the Orange County Theatre Organ Society (OCTOS) in his first full concert on a theatre pipe organ.

In fact, we are planning a bus trip to this concert that day, and are looking to organize a group of 30 (or more) to charter a bus from San Diego to Fullerton for the day's event.  We will publicize this information early next week and be taking reservations on Saturday night at the silent movie night.

Ed Bridgeford, chairman of OCTOS, has offered all TOSSD attendees a 25% discount off the typical ticket price for this special event - so we will be paying only $15 instead instead of the normal $20.  For further details, please contact Connie at connie@tossd.org or (619) 561-9136.

Cameron Carpenter plays "Forgotten Dreams" on an Allen GW-4 in Concert

Cameron Carpenter provides original accompaniment to the silent horror film "Nosferatu" during Halloween 2007 at Trinity Wall Street Church in New York.

Cameron Carpenter plays the "Stars and Stripes Forever" on the Trinity Wall Street Church organ, and although this is not on a typical "theatre instrument", the performance of his very original rendition is nothing less than spectacular!

What is the Theatre Organ Society
of San Diego (TOSSD) all about?

The Theatre Organ Society of San Diego (TOSSD) is a local chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS), and is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the preservation of the Theatre Pipe Organ - and to further the use, understanding and appreciation of this unique musical genre.

We truly believe that the theatre pipe organ deserves a permanent place in American musical culture, and it is our collective mission that we do our part to preserve this musical icon for future generations of musicians, historians and enthusiasts.
